Our city's enterprises hold over a thousand large-scale sporting events annually
This newspaper reports that yesterday morning, the city's sports center swimming pool was filled with splashing water and cheers as Hansheng Technology Co., Ltd.'s 2010 swimming competition took place (see picture above, provided by Hansheng). It is understood that in recent years, the physical activities of employees in our city's enterprises have flourished, with over a thousand large-scale employee sports events held annually.
It is understood that to enhance employee health and build corporate culture, Hansheng has organized swimming competitions annually since 2003. Yesterday's competition involved over 250 employees, including 135 athletes, who competed in various events including breaststroke, backstroke, freestyle, breaststroke relay, butterfly demonstration, and marathon swimming. In the most challenging marathon swimming competition, the men's group swam 2000 meters and the women's group 1000 meters. After more than an hour of strenuous swimming, almost all of the dozens of male and female athletes completed the race.
After the competition, Liu Fuxiang, director of the city's Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau, presented awards to the athletes. Liu Fuxiang told reporters that in recent years, employee physical fitness has been increasingly valued by enterprises, and sports have flourished, with enterprises holding over a thousand large-scale sporting events annually. Enterprise employee sports are one of the most important components of mass sports. The city's Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau actively supports enterprises in holding employee sports activities, including providing preferential treatment in terms of sports venue facilities.
