At 9:20 am on the 15th, Premier Wen and his entourage arrived at Hansheng Company, visiting the exhibition hall and main workshop. At each location, he shook hands and chatted cordially with the staff. In the workshop, Premier Wen shook hands with a worker and asked him how long he had been in Zhuhai. The worker replied that he had been there for more than ten years. Premier Wen smiled and said, "You're a veteran worker.". When shaking hands and chatting with a female engineer, Premier Wen learned that she was a graduate student from Zhejiang University who had just joined Hansheng Company in April this year. He humorously said, "You arrived earlier than I did."
Shou Weichun introduced to Premier Wen the company's 25-year development history and its current products, including coaxial leaky cables and high-temperature cables. Among them, coaxial leaky cables have reached the most advanced level internationally; currently only two or three companies in the world can manufacture them. In the field of optical cable manufacturing, Hansheng Company already holds the world's second-largest market share, second only to a US company. Premier Wen was very pleased to hear this. He encouraged the cadres and employees of Hansheng Company, saying that there is only one step between being second in the world and being first, and he hoped that Hansheng Company would become number one in the world.
