“The boss clearly recited my resume”
Gao Xiuyin is now the head of the quality department. “Initially, I came to Hansheng with a try-it-out mentality, and I didn't expect to work here for more than ten years.” Hansheng was able to retain Gao Xiuyin, initially due to an encounter she had with the general manager, Shou Weichun. “At that time, I was operating a machine in the workshop, and Manager Shou stood behind me for half an hour and then clearly called out my name and even recited my resume.” This made the fledgling Gao Xiuyin somewhat flattered. A company that values its employees so much, “this company is worth working hard for.” Even though more than ten years have passed, Gao Xiuyin still clearly remembers this experience, “Although work is hard, I am respected here, and my work is recognized. It’s worth the hard work.”
Last year, Gao Xiuyin applied for the Business Administration junior college program jointly established by the company and Zhuhai Radio and TV University. There was also a little episode in this, Gao Xiuyin, who had graduated for many years, originally did not plan to apply, “I haven’t studied for many years, so I have no confidence,” Gao Xiuyin said that her hands were shaking when she signed up, “Thanks to the encouragement from the company leaders, I unexpectedly won a scholarship.” At Hansheng, Gao Xiuyin gradually grew. Now, Gao Xiuyin is no longer the naive girl worker she once was, she has settled in Zhuhai, established a home, and has a happy family.
“Sometimes I feel like I'm still on campus”
Liu Dakang is a postgraduate student majoring in Physics from Fudan University. “The company has created a good learning atmosphere, regularly inviting well-known domestic and international experts to give lectures on the latest scientific research trends. Sometimes I feel like I'm still on campus.” From books to practice, from campus to work, Hansheng wholeheartedly helps every employee grow.
Wu Dan works in finance. When she first joined the company, her work location wasn't the finance office but the workshop for an internship. “Initially, I was puzzled; why would someone in finance need to go to the workshop?” As work progressed, her doubts gradually cleared. Because the company has a variety of products, finance needs to classify costs when calculating them. “Without the workshop internship experience, I probably wouldn't even know what the products look like, how could I work properly afterwards?” Wu Dan has many feelings about this.
Jin Jiafeng has been with Hansheng for 15 years. “At Hansheng, you can do real things, and if you put in the effort, you will get results. The company will provide a platform for continuous improvement for every employee.” Through tempering at Hansheng, Jin Jiafeng has now become a leading figure in electrical technology.
It is understood that Hansheng has formulated a long-term training plan for each college student from the time they enter the factory, systematically changing their positions and focusing on practical training to enhance their work capabilities. New employees must undergo one week of paid on-the-job training upon joining the company, covering safety, discipline, quality, and technology. Hansheng has two distinctive talent cultivation programs: military training and embroidery. Military training hones the willpower of college students, while embroidery tests employees' patience. In addition to offering some cultural and business courses, the company also encourages employees to pursue further studies in their spare time. As long as the grades are qualified, the trade union will reimburse the tuition fees and regularly organizes employees to visit and learn from relevant units at home and abroad.
“Landlubber” becomes a swimming champion
Wu Dan, from Jilin, has an innate fear of water. “I never dared to go into the water before, but I learned how to swim at Hansheng.” After graduating from university last year and joining Hansheng, Wu Dan participated in the company's swimming class. Under the guidance of professional teachers, she finally fulfilled her long-cherished wish. “At the company, I also learned ballroom dancing. In the past, I would lose my footing as soon as I entered the dance floor, but now I can do most ballroom dances.” Like Wu Dan, Liu Dakang and Li Yong, these two young men both believe that “the company’s activities are even richer than during university.” Liu Dakang joined the football team and became a goalkeeper, while Li Yong fell in love with the company’s tennis and badminton courts. “After dinner, I often invite my friends to play a few games on the court with the lights on.” Feng Jianwu, who works in quality testing, met his current wife at an event, and their child is now over 9 years old. The whole family is happily together at Hansheng.
Looking through the work plan of Zhu Jinfeng, the chairman of the trade union, it is filled with various activities: English corner, poetry contest, Qingming outing, swimming competition, karaoke competition, ballroom dance, collective wedding... Hansheng established a “University Student Branch” for recent college graduates, regularly holding barbecues, outings, and matchmaking events to help college students quickly integrate into the company. Hansheng people relax their minds and bodies in these activities, and also enhance their cohesion.
