Leaky coaxial cable is a coaxial cable with an incompletely closed outer conductor. During the transmission of radio frequency signals inside the leaky coaxial cable, a part is coupled to the external space through the pores of the outer conductor; conversely, radio frequency signals in the external space can also be coupled to the inside of the cable through the pores of the outer conductor. Therefore, leaky coaxial cables have the dual functions of radio frequency signal transmission lines and receiving and transmitting antennas. They are generally used in specific spaces where communication antennas are difficult to use, especially in specific spaces where separated antennas in mobile communication systems cannot provide sufficient field strength coverage; or, leaky coaxial cables can seamlessly cover weak blind areas of existing mobile communication systems.
