Guangdong Province Honors Top 100 Private Enterprises; Three Zhuhai Companies Make the List

The list of Guangdong Province's Top 100 Private Enterprises for 2006-2007 was recently released, with three Zhuhai companies making the list: Zhuhai Zhongyou Taxin Petrochemical Co., Ltd., Zhuhai Hansheng Technology Co., Ltd., and Guangdong Dehao Rundar Electric Co., Ltd.
Relevant officials from the Municipal Bureau of Economy and Trade told reporters that the provincial government will publicly commend the enterprises awarded the title of Top 100 Private Enterprises in the province, issuing certificates and plaques. Projects of these enterprises that meet the relevant regulations, such as technological innovation, technological transformation, key technology research and development, deep processing of agricultural products, and re-employment of laid-off workers, will be prioritized and supported by relevant provincial functional departments in accordance with the spirit of the decision on accelerating the development of the private economy.
It is understood that since July 2004, in order to further strengthen encouragement and support for the Top 100 Private Enterprises in the province and promote the development of the private economy, the provincial government has commended the Top 100 Private Enterprises in cities across the province every two years. This commendation has now been held for three consecutive terms. Private enterprises with an average annual turnover of over 200 million yuan and total tax and profit exceeding 10 million yuan over two years are eligible to apply. Applications are reviewed by the municipal departments of commerce and trade before being recommended to provincial departments. After review by the provincial Top 100 Private Enterprise Appraisal Working Group, a unified ranking is conducted throughout the province, and those ranked within the top 100 are publicly announced.
It is reported that the Top 100 Private Enterprises will be supervised by multiple departments, including industry and commerce, taxation, work safety, and environmental protection. If any enterprise is found to be producing counterfeit or substandard products, engaging in tax evasion, tax fraud, tax resistance, or experiencing major safety production accidents or major environmental pollution accidents, its qualification will be revoked.
