Understanding the glorious history of the "second hometown"
Report: Yesterday morning at 8:30 am, nearly 300 employees of Zhuhai Hansheng Technology Co., Ltd. who are members of the Communist Youth League of China (CYLC) traveled from Doumen to Zhuhai Martyrs' Cemetery to commemorate the 27 martyrs who died in the "Xiangzhou Mutiny" on the night of April 26, 1925. These CYLC members also renewed their membership oaths at the martyrs' graves.
Yesterday, the young employees of Hansheng Company, wearing navy blue work uniforms and CYLC badges, each holding a bunch of yellow or white chrysanthemums, slowly walked to each martyr's tombstone and offered flowers as a tribute.
According to the organizers of this event at Hansheng Company, most of the employees of Hansheng Technology Co., Ltd. are young people aged 20 to 30 from all over China. The company hopes that this memorial activity can enable these young employees to remember the deeds of the martyrs, while also encouraging them to love Zhuhai more, further understanding Zhuhai's history, and increasing the sense of belonging among migrant workers to their city of work and life.
It is understood that Hansheng Technology Co., Ltd. organizes tomb-sweeping activities for its employees every year during the Qingming Festival. In addition to the Martyrs' Cemetery, the company has also organized visits to other cemeteries such as the Sanzhao Wanren Cemetery. These tomb-sweeping activities have been held for over 10 years.
