　　 Hansheng: Integrating the "Red Gene" into Technological Innovation - Part Three of the "Party Building Leads Innovation Drive" series

　　This company is Zhuhai Hansheng Technology Co., Ltd., a national high-tech enterprise specializing in the manufacturing of optoelectronic communication cables. For more than 30 years, Hansheng has grasped the essence of corporate red culture construction, implemented a talent cultivation strategy, adhered to technological innovation, and built its own brand, becoming the number one in Asia and number two in the world as an integrated international coaxial cable production base covering R&D, production, and sales.

　　From a party group with only three members to an organization with nearly 180 party members, Hansheng has planted the party flag in every team. Currently, 100% of Hansheng's management are party members, with the Party secretary serving as chairman, and the other eight Party committee members are in charge of production, sales, technology, personnel, procurement, and finance, forming a strong core team centered around party members in the organization and ensuring the Party's absolute leadership over the enterprise.

　　"Talent is the most important resource for an enterprise." Shou Weichun, chairman and party secretary of Zhuhai Hansheng Technology Co., Ltd., said so. To this end, Hansheng not only invested in cooperation with colleges and universities to run junior college programs and sent employees for exchange and study, drawing nutrients for technological innovation, but also established an employee overseas training plan, sending more than 30 employees to top universities abroad for further studies, maintaining synchronicity with industry frontiers and technological cutting edges, and accumulating vitality and future strength for Hansheng.

　　Shou Weichun, who comes from a technical background, determined the direction of the company's development with technological innovation as the guide at the beginning of its founding. For more than 30 years, innovation has become a distinct company culture. While striving to build a high-quality talent team with a global perspective, Hansheng's speed of technological innovation has become faster and faster, and the role of technological innovation in driving corporate efficiency has become more and more obvious.

　　Flexible armored optical jumpers are special communication cables used in harsh environments. Their technology was once exclusively produced and monopolized by a foreign company in the global market. A technical team led by Jin Jiafeng, deputy chief engineer and party member, conducted countless day-and-night tests and spent nearly two years creatively producing this cable with independent intellectual property rights. Its attribute data and environmental adaptability far surpass similar foreign products, opening the European market in one fell swoop.

　　Currently, Hansheng has a total of 135 R&D personnel, including 55 party member backbones. In terms of R&D investment, Hansheng spares no expense, especially in terms of investment in overseas research trips for scientific researchers and procurement of experimental materials. The company has given its maximum support. Data shows that Hansheng's annual investment in scientific research accounts for about 3.5% of its annual sales revenue. For the manufacturing industry, this level of investment is indeed rare.

　　Persistence in technological innovation has injected strong momentum into Hansheng's development. In recent years, several new product R&D teams have helped Hansheng obtain 48 patents, with 13 more patents pending application. In 2016, Hansheng achieved sales of 1.546 billion yuan, paid taxes of 84.9 million yuan, and exported 73.74 million US dollars. To better optimize resources and improve experimental equipment, Hansheng plans to invest tens of millions of yuan to establish a unified R&D center to further enhance its R&D capabilities.

　　"From the very beginning of its establishment, Hansheng has established Party building as the soul of its corporate culture. Even with only a few employees, it established a party group and issued a resounding slogan of 'raising the bright red flag of the Party high in Hansheng.'" Shou Weichun said that over the past 30 years, Hansheng has forged a path of national industry with Chinese characteristics, organically integrating the Party's work with corporate production and operation. It can be said that Hansheng's development is inseparable from the Party's leadership and the Party's cultivation and guidance of talent.
