Han Sheng: No holiday for Spring Festival, no layoffs for the New Year

Last night, Zhuhai Hansheng Technology Co., Ltd., China's largest professional manufacturer of radio frequency coaxial cables, held a grand Spring Festival banquet. At the banquet, the company chairman, Shou Weichun, stated that there would be no holiday for the Spring Festival, and no employees would be laid off for the New Year.
More than 1,000 cadres and employees of Hansheng Company gathered together to celebrate the company's outstanding achievement of a 36% increase in total export trade last year, overcoming the impact of the global financial crisis through its independent innovation capabilities and own brand.
Shou Weichun, chairman of Zhuhai Hansheng Technology Co., Ltd., said: "Because China Telecom and some international clients hope that we will deliver goods to them quickly and keep up with the pace of their production needs. Therefore, this year, our Hansheng employees will not have a Spring Festival holiday, and we will greet the new 2009 with full work enthusiasm."
Shou Weichun stated that this year, as the country launches 3G communication services to stimulate domestic demand, several operators have signed supply contracts with Hansheng, and Hansheng's products are in short supply. Therefore, Hansheng will not lay off employees; instead, it will recruit a group of employees from society.
Established in 1985, Zhuhai Hansheng Technology Co., Ltd. achieved sales growth of over 40% year-on-year in 2008 and total export value reached US$141 million, an increase of over 36% year-on-year, in the face of the global financial crisis. Independent innovation capabilities and its own brand are the two major magic weapons for Hansheng Company to fight this financial storm. Since 2004, Hansheng has focused on independent brand building and promotion, investing a large amount of funds in new product R&D every year. In 2008, the export value of Hansheng's own-brand products accounted for nearly 50% of the total export value, and the domestic market achieved 100% independent brand.
